Wear your smile, live happily!
Posted by Master in Mauritius Resto on November 23, 2009
I will divert a bit from our usual subject today because everything in life doesn’t always sum up with the sea, sun, sand, eating in top class restaurants and score of other stuffs. While life is an undeniable gift, it gives pleasure to see people live it everyday as if it was their last day on Earth. I get the biggest pleasure when I see people live their lives at full speed with all they got. Without complaints they accept life as it is and face their problems with a smile. I actually know people who have tons of problems but always wear a smile on their faces. When you talk to them, they seem to be the happiest people on this planet. The truth is that they secretly grieve and try to find solutions by themselves to keep their heads out of the water.
I, like many people, have a circle of friends. Where I live, we are 4-5 friends including myself. I believe that everyone should have friends. Those who know what friendship is will know exactly what I am talking about. The power of friendship can only be felt. So, we have our meeting spot. If we are all together, we will be found sitting on the cement stair, eaten by weather, laughing, sometimes, well actually everytime, a cigarette in hand debating on some fascinating topic. It wasn’t later than yesterday that we spoke until really late in the night. The best part is, the talks seem to never end and we don’t even notice how time flies by. We would always set the time to go but will never meet our deadline. There is always something good to talk about. It’s fascinating.
The teasing part is always the best part in friendship, I believe. It makes the love grow and it can sometimes make the love disappear- this depends on friends. Hence, we live our lives with all we got and everyone has something to share-not in terms of money. The fun is always alive no matter what the situation. Even if someone is down, we’ll try and get his morale up and make him laugh. Laughing is the best therapy to get freed from stress and forget problems for a while. It makes you feel lighter and you are able to face problems with a clearer mind. This is how I believe life should be lived. With friends and of course family members, you can live a life filled with pleasure. Money is paper but relationships are golden.
So folks, forget about the rest for a while and just think about how to make your life beautiful. Problems will never leave human beings, so we will need to adapt ourselves to live a happy life with it. So, always remember to keep that smile on!
Ladies and gentlemen, summer in Mauritius has just begun!

Summer is on here in Mauritius and the sun is making no mistake to shower the island with unlimited warmth. I am here in Port Louis and believe me, it’s really too hot. When you think about it, you know that this is just the beginning of summer in Mauritius. Nonetheless, the sun is shining hard, so a walk on the streets of Port Louis will most certainly get your clothes wet with perspiration.
As the sun almost doesn’t fail to show itself everyday, one specific thing springs to mind each morning: the sea. Mauritius is surrounded with so many heavenly beaches and it pains when you think about having to work from nine to five instead of relaxing under the shade of a tree and admiring the crystal clear water and powdery white sandy beach. Anyway this is a wonderful idea which has little but no chance to happen on a weekday unless it’s a holiday! Anyone will agree work comes first.
With the summer within the reach of everyone in Mauritius, tourists as well travel from different corners of the globe to profit from it. Well, this is the very reason for which Mauritius is famous – The Sun. Believe me or not, tourists who come from really cold countries such as UK and Germany really love the feeling of the sun caressing their skin. However, if much exposed to the sun, severe skin irritations can occur. It is therefore of utmost importance to be well protected from sunrays by applying solar balms and lotions. Especially kids need to be correctly taken care of since they have sensitive skins.
So, to enjoy the summer to the max, diving can be the best answer for you. If going into the blue at will doesn’t scare the heck out of you, then look for someone who rents scuba diving materials and head to the sea. The waters around Mauritius are one of the most breathtaking you will ever see. You will not want to stop till you get enough (if of course there’s a limit to get what you want!) For amateur divers, visiting the marine park at Blue Bay can be equally fun. Snorkeling equipments are just what will be needed to have an extraordinary time.
Mauritius has a lot more to offer. It is a dream destination to many. On the other hand it’s a first time discovery to others. In both cases, Mauritius is a place to see at all cost.
