As we live in Mauritius we are referred to as the ‘full time holidayers’ by one and many. As this seems really true, it is not the case for many Mauritian fellows. As everywhere around the globe, here in Mauritius as well people have to work hard to earn their living. While some people earn lots of cash, others get a meager salary, enough to sustain a living and make both ends meet. People of the high society here in Mauritius are literally kings. When you are wealthy in Mauritius, it means the pleasures are here to be taken at will.
However, this doesn’t mean that the less earning person cannot enjoy. Everyone has his own way of getting the best out of his life. The real beauty is when you see people having maximum fun although their limited spending power. Life is a gift. It’s therefore encouraging to witness people take life positively with all its problems and dilemmas. I will not get into this infinitely debatable subject because this post will never end and you will most probably get bored.
So, one common way many people find for their distraction is to take the whole family out for a treat in one of their favourite restaurants. Whichever the restaurant, if you are pleased with the way they serve you and most importantly if you like their food, then you have made the right choice. But there are some restaurants where you need to be careful before you decide to go and have lunch or dinner. I remember once I ate in a restaurant and fell ill some hours later. I got sore throat and needed medication to get back to normal. I guess the hygiene wasn’t too good, though it didn’t appear to be.
To restrain from getting into such a situation, I advise you take advice from many people about a particular restaurant before wanting to have your lunch or dinner there. Mauritius is a small island, yet full of superb restaurants to give you pure moments of joy. The scents would come searching for your nose and once there, you will suddenly feel a burning envy to eat the most desirable of dishes. Restaurants in Mauritius will make you have the wildest envies to eat and in the coming minutes shower you with dishes going beyond your expectations.
Have your dinners turned out a success here in Mauritius? Have the dishes pleased you so much that you’ve returned to that restaurant days later to taste more? I am eager to hear all your stories….so don’t hesitate and let the words flow!
Mauritius, a mindblowing destination for all folks

Yesterday I went to Chinatown in Port Louis and I must say it’s a truly amazing place. There are so many streets which join each other around Chinatown and in the whole of Port Louis that’s it’s actually difficult to get lost. Every road you take has an issue so no need to worry when you walk in and around Chinatown. It’s really cold here in Mauritius and this weather has not spared Port Louis. At first, I believed that I would never be able to experience winter in Port Louis but I was proved wrong a week ago.
Walk on the roads and you will be filled with joy if you are hungry. Chinese restaurants will take your breath away as they will almost automatically attract you to eat. Food stalls are found everywhere in Port Louis, so if you need to spend minimum money and yet have a full stomach, they are the most suitable option for you. On the other hand, should you require a fine meal in the air-conditioned space of a nice restaurant, you will just need to walk around and make your choice.
Well, Mauritius is kind of an extraordinary place. I remember some time back I was talking to a friend. We were saying that people splash lots of their hard earned cash to come to Mauritius for the sake of vacations. So, this brought us to the fact that we are indeed lucky because we are born in Mauritius. We are just like permanent holidayers! We have all the possibilities here which all tourists come searching for. I mean, we can move to any restaurant of our choice and have that wonderful candlelight dinner in couple. The sun and the sea are here to savour as much as we want. Since Mauritius isn’t too huge, a long drive in most of the cases isn’t needed to get to the beach of your choice.
For me, Blue Bay is the best beach that you can find in Mauritius. Its white sand and turquoise water will tempt you ate once to have a bath. Blue Bay has all that it takes to give you pure moments of joy. Professional divers can head to the Blue Bay marine park to have a look at the awesome undersea world. Those who have their waterproof cameras can take shots at will. But it is however strictly prohibited to fish or capture anything living from there. This is a unique place in Mauritius and afterall, it’s worthy protecting the undersea ecosystem.
You will also find a restaurant in Blue Bay where you will be able to relax and drink a beer or even eat something after your exciting day in the sea. All in all, Mauritius has lots more to give when it comes to having fun, living in a hotel or eating in a top class restaurant. You just need to experience Mauritius to know it.
I am impatient to hear your views, adventures you’ve gone through and your opinion of Mauritius.

Mauritius is really nice for a night out with friends or in couple. There are so many places spread over Mauritius where you will have the opportunity to relax and experience enjoyment. Want a romantic dinner? Head to one of the top class restaurants where you will undoubtedly find the right setup for an unforgettable time. Live the exceptional atmosphere in and around the restaurant and you might certainly wish for more of such quality time. Should you be among friends, you could have a headache pointing out the most appropriate restaurant.
As such, Grand Baie is a top of the list destination in Mauritius for locals and tourists alike. The place is filled with bars, pubs, restaurants and hotels among others. Many times our nights out among friends during Saturday nights end there. Sometimes we will dine in one of the fine restaurants found there. On another day, we’ll simply skip restaurants and go clubbing straight away. Of course all of us would have already taken dinner at home! The night clubs of Grand Baie are just what you need after a week of hard work. They have all that it takes to offer you your moment of glory and freedom. Just try one of these night clubs and you will come telling me the next day how much you drank!
Should you wish to just drink all night, set your target to any restaurant of your choice in Grand Baie. You will have a bar in front of you to choose whichever type of liquor you desire at will. But be careful to drink responsibly because I’m sure you do not want your night to end wrongly. If you have planned to come by car, bring along someone who doesn’t consume alcohol. Like that you will be assured a safe drive back home.
A quiet time out in Grand Baie is also possible. Drive to a top notch restaurant and get pleasure from the excellent service that will be offered to you. Simply spend a couple of hours in that corner of Mauritius and see for yourself how right you have been going there.

Mauritius is such a nice place to live. Ask fellow Mauritians and they will start relating to you all their adventures. Seen far from the sky as a dot, Mauritius is far from being a dot! As a country, Mauritius is developing rapidly. With this developing speed, half a decade could be sufficient for us to see a highly improved image of Mauritius. I for one am happy that Mauritius has stepped on this mega development trend. With the construction of new buildings, new jobs will be undoubtedly created. This would undoubtedly help improve the lifestyle of many fellow Mauritians.
The wildlife aspect of Mauritius is what many tourists come searching for. Do you wish to experience the most exquisite aspects of nature?
